I love me a good surprise. The preparation, the secrecy, the anticipation, the emotional rollercoaster the person goes through, and the smiles, oh, the smiles.
Recently, I organised a bday surprise for my mon – i took her, my new Canon camera and my 85 year old grandma to Venice. That was one of the things that took some of my time away in the preparation for the big trip, just before I left Brussels I was so so tired.
She really really had no clue – I had called her boss in advance to request for couple of days off, asked my granny if she thinks she could travel by plane, bought flights, bus tickets and booked a hotel. The tears were everywhere – flying from at first not-believing eyes, then from happy eyes, and then from mom’s proud-of-you eyes – best reward ever… Proof?
